CLASS PROCEDURES:
1. Classroom/Lab Behavior & Discipline Actions -Students should have manners to
show respect to everyone and everything in the class/lab area. This policy will be
stressed to students from day one and students will be asked to follow simple rules.
a. Be respectful of peers, teachers, and classroom materials.
b. No cursing or derogatory language.
c. Be safe & careful with materials, animals, and classmates.
d. Every student has the right to learn and the teacher has the right to teach.
Anything that prevents those two things from happening is against the rules.
e. No obeying the rules within the classroom will result as follows:
1st Offense- Teacher Warning
2nd Offense- Student will call parent and notify them of inappropriate
behavior and serve a 45-minute detention.
3rd Offense- Parent, student, teacher, and principal conference with
discipline action to follow.
*** A student may be pulled directly out of class and sent to the principal if offense is
serious!
2. Assignment Expectationsa. If a student is absent, it is his/her responsibility to meet with the teacher
regarding missed assignments. The student will have one day for every day
he/she was absent to complete the work.

marked down 50%. Anything after five days of the due date will no longer be
accepted. Arrangements can be made with the teacher if a personal situation
may arise.

4. Open Door Policy-Students that are in need of someone to talk to for any reason
may come to me to speak. The conversation will be kept private as long as the
conversation does not imply anyone is in danger. I understand that in high school
issues arise where the student may not think they can talk to anyone. My door is
always open.
5. Classroom discussions-I encourage student feedback and discussion of the
material and course topics. To aid in an orderly discussion I will require students to
raise their hand and wait to be called before asking a question or making a
comment.
6. Academic Integrity-Students who are caught cheating or using the work of another
student will immediately be given a zero for that work and it will be reported to the
principal.
This section is to verify that the student and parent have read the Blair- Taylor Animal
