Junior Music Festival 2015
Monday 8th June @ Cliffs Pavilion (7:30pm)
Dear All,
We will be taking part in the Junior Schools’ Music Festival on Monday 9 th June at the Cliff’s Pavilion. We will be
taking both the choir and the orchestra with Mrs van Looy.
Firstly, I need to make sure numbers are suitable (we can take a maximum of 50 in the choir), so please could
you indicate as appropriate on the return form (a) choir; (b) orchestra; (c) not available. If you are not taking
part, please let me know this as well as I don’t have the time to keep chasing people. Choir rehearsals have
started this week and we will announce orchestra rehearsal times when arranged. Some choir members will
become orchestral players and all members of the orchestra are encouraged to come along to learn the songs as
they will be singing as well as playing (and that includes Year 3 players). We will be accompanying to songs – the
‘Willy Wonka medley’ and ‘Do you hear the people sing’.
I also require ticket orders please by Friday 20th March. As with all events, it takes time to sort out tickets orders
from all 65 schools involved in this year’s festival so the orders need to be in quite early. It is important that the
ticket orders come to me by that date so that we all sit together as a block in seats best suited to see the
orchestra and choir and also to guarantee a seat. Thank you for your support. The tickets cost £8.50 each (no
concessions) and of course, there is no coach to have to arrange to take you there! Please make cheques
payable to St Mary’s C of E Primary School.
