Infrastructure Financing Trends in Africa - ICA Report 2012
Please submit by: July 26, 2013
Every year since its inception in 2005, the Infrastructure Consortium for Africa (ICA) has produced an annual report
documenting financial trends in African infrastructure. In previous years, the report has been substantially based on
data and perspectives provided by public sector participants in Africa’s infrastructure development. This year’s report
aims to include, for the first time, perspectives from private sector stakeholders in African infrastructure, including
investors, developers, financiers, contractors and operators.
The purpose of this survey is to ask private sector participants for their views, particularly on the challenges facing
developers and investors raising finance and taking projects through the early stages of development.
The aim is to produce a comprehensive and analytic knowledge product, “Infrastructure Financing Trends in Africa –
ICA Report 2012”, which proves a useful and practical tool for all stakeholders in Africa’s infrastructure.
Cross-border Information is acting on behalf of the ICA to collect information through this survey about private sector
perceptions of investing in infrastructure in Africa.
The survey seeks to structure and analyse:




key risks to be mitigated when putting together a financial package;
the main causes of delays implementing projects;
primary considerations when locating a project, and
reasons for bottlenecks in project preparation.
Please note that information from this survey will be used and displayed only in an aggregated form or used
anonymously. Individual responses will remain confidential.
If you are unable to answer a question for reasons of confidentiality or if a question is not applicable to your
organisation please simply leave it blank and move on to the next question.
To avoid delays in the production of the report, we request that you return the completed survey by July 26, 2013 to
Mark Ford (ica@cbi-research.com)
Your time and consideration are greatly appreciated.
