Vegetation Removal: a.SprayMaster will treat large dense areas of Blackberry and other invasives with herbicide. Kyle Straus will spot spray small areas with existing vegetation and less dense invasives cover. b. Jackson County and Job Council work crews will remove dead blackberries. 2. Plant Trees and Shrubs: RVCOG will purchase plants from Althouse Nursery. Planting will occur from Late November (20th) through mid January (15th). Each Plant will get soil amendment and weed mat. Thinking Lomakatsi for planting. 3. Plant Maintenance: a.Plantings will be mulched and weeded from December 1, 2014 to February 15, 2015. Mulch as needed from March 1 through end of project. b.Plantings will be watered weekly from April 15 through October 15. Watering will be done weekly by hand west of the Greenway. Two watering systems will be set up with drip gravity flow system east of the Greenway in coordination with ODOT. 4. Spray to Control Invasives: Kyle Straus will spot spray previously treated areas to control invasives response to initial removal. This weed control work will be done from mid April through mid June as needed. If monitoring reveals invasive sprouting in October an additional treatment will be scheduled with Kyle. 5. Monitoring:RVCOG will monitor planting success during February, July and October 2015. Plant monitoring will consist of plant survival, plant growth (leader length), and plant maintenance effectiveness (how weeds are doing). 6. Photo Documentation: RVCOG will photo document project area at eight locations during February, July and October 2015
