BID NOTICE AND INVITATION TO QUOTE
WEEKLY SERVICE OF HEAVY VEHICLES FOR A PERIOD NOT EXCEEDING ONE YEAR
The Breede Valley Municipality invites quotations from suitably qualifying service providers or individuals for the weekly servicing of heavy vehicles (seven refuse
compactors and three 3 ton tipper trucks). The service includes (but not limited to):





Grease all nipples on the compactor part of vehicles.
All operating parts on the compactor part of the vehicle which needs grease (not vehicle itself).
Inspection of all cylinders, pipes, oil leaks, oil levels and damages to parts.
Inspection to be done to all side panels, floor, control-levers, steps and hand rails for rust and or damages.
Written reports to be submitted after services to Superintendent: Mechanical Workshop, Theo Beukes.
Requirements:



Successful candidate / contractor to be a qualified mechanic, with necessary equipment and situated within the boundaries of the Breede Valley
Municipality
At least two (2) years experience on similar heavy duty equipment (please provide evidence)
Proof of qualifications to be submitted before FQ is evaluated.
Place: Municipal Stores, Fairbairn Street, Worcester
When: Once a week, on Fridays
Collection of Quotation Forms: Quotation forms shall be physically collected at the Municipal SCM offices, 23 Baring Street, Worcester.
Closing date of the quote: Quotations shall be submitted as original and clearly marked: WEEKLY SERVICE OF HEAVY VEHICLES FOR THE PERIOD NOT
EXCEEDING ONE YEAR, in the tender box on Friday 21 November 2014.
