Please take conversations and visiting outside of the church. We want to maintain a quiet and sacred setting with contemplative music playing as the children wait their turn to talk with the priest. Once your child has received the sacrament, you can come to the church atrium to receive the sacrament certificate from Elizabeth Harrison and then leave. This is a joyous occasion. We encourage parents to celebrate their child’s First Reconciliation in a way that is meaningful to him/her. First Communion: Bread of Life Day with Father Peter is a very special time for your child preparing for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. It is required that all children and a parent attend and participate. Father will review important aspects of the mass, give the children a tour of the sacristy and take questions. We will rehearse the receiving of the host and wine on the rehearsal night, along with instructions on how to walk in procession and how to approach Jesus as they receive Him, body, soul and sacred divinity, in the Eucharist.
