Met at the Front Porch Restaurant in Hattiesburg, MS. on Saturday, December 11th. Bill Biel called the meeting to order. Bill made a formal donation to the the Salvation Army in the name of the BMW Riders of Mississippi for the Yazoo City tornado victims. Dave Coles gave a check for $900 to Colonel Gene Slusher of the Salvation Army. Left over business: Named officers:Frank Glamser-Vice President; Laurissa HendersonSecretary; Ken O'Malley and Frank Glamser are working the April 2011 Dogwood Trail Rally. Frank has purchased pins for the rally. He has also secured the pavilion and shelter for use at the rally. There is still an issue of camping fees, portolets and enough hot water. Bill asked Laurissa to send a letter to RA for door prizes. RA membership was paid in June. Notice of the rally was sent to BMWMOA to publish in monthly magazine ON. The music has been lined up. Fletcher Clark is working on the dinner for Saturday night. The Smart Trainer from the BMWMOA Foundation will be at the rally. It is a ride simulator. BMWROM has moved the rally to Turkey Creek Water Park in Newton, MS from Askew's Landing in Edwards, MS. Door prizes are needed. The Grand Prize is a helmet from Hebert's. The BMWROM is going to give a set of tires as a second Grand Prize. What about a slide show at dinner? Paul and Betty Vegas will handle the pancakes at breakfast. Gumbo on Friday night. No decision yet on field events. We need lots of advertisement on the rally. Put posters at the Kickstand and Got Gear. Still talking about a new trailer. Maybe a 6x10 or an 8x10. New business: In Memoriam plaque - names deceased members. Will be bringing it to the Christmas dinner and the rally from now on. Members on plaque: John Lyle, Will David, Dick Tinsley, Lyle Grimes, and James Gordy. Louise and Larry Moss need to be added. Frank will work with Davie on this. Nancy McClelland made the announcement that they had bikes for sale: 2 R100s, R80 & R60. BMW parts also for sale. Send David a list please. FWB: 2nd weekend of January 2011. Weekend camping, bring a tent. On Leaf River at the Fish Camp outside New Augusta, MS. Robert Johnson, RA Rep reminded everyone of the Fourth of July weekend rally in Chippewa Falls, WI. Also reminded us to make sure we get door prizes from the RA for our Rally. We will be reupping our membership to the RA in January, 2011. Robert gave out hats as door prizes. $9307.00 in the bank before check given to Salvation Army and paying for lunch. 20 members at meeting. Meeting adjourned.
