Altran launches a TV show for international recruitment

At 1.00 pm on 28 March, the Altran group will broadcast on the web the first live corporate programme dedicated to recruitment and engineers career opportunities. In order to reach its recruitment objective of more than 4,000 engineers this year in the world, Altran invests resources: inauguration of its own TV studios, professional production team, broadcasting simultaneously online and via Facebook. The TV show “Career” will be live and interactive: participants could question a panel of Altran experts on the ins and outs of what it is to be a consultant, and the career opportunities proposed by the global leader in innovation.

A strategic objective

First international live talk show, the "Career" programme lasts roughly one hour and will be broadcast in English. This first edition signs the launch of a communication campaign dedicated to recruitment. The programme of the 28 March will be mainly dedicated to international careers, one of the most attractive aspects of being a consultant.

In 2013, Altran will recruit nearly 2,200 engineers in France and more than 4,000 worldwide, to collaborate to increasingly international and complex projects: implementation of multiple partnership projects, integration of transversal skills and technologies, globalisation of markets etc.

Recruitment is an integral part of Altran's strategy since the excellence of the Group's client support hinges on the quality of its engineers.

"Hosting a live conference dedicated to recruitment using audiovisual and digital support systems and social networks is indeed a challenge. We have chosen this format since we firmly believe that nothing can replace the advantages that transparency and live communication can offer to a demanding, young and passionate public. The presentation of various career experiences and the information shared during these programmes will enhance the appeal for a profession that has changed in many ways. Consulting companies in fact offer the three key priorities that young

engineers seek today: international opportunities, varied projects and ambitious missions" declared

Julien Esposito, Group Employer Brand Director of Altran.

News and passion oriented programme

The “Career” programme, which is based both on information and exchange, will present the most innovative projects and the latest Group's news:

Altran World News: brings the latest news of the Group's Innovation Makers and their flagship projects (the "Solar Impulse" flight across the USA, launch of the Intelligent Systems premium solution, etc.)

Ask The Boss: live interview of Philippe Salle, Altran's Chairman and Chief Executive, who will openly answer all candidates' questions.

The Talk: round table dealing with the theme of V.I.E. and international careers, with HR managers and Group consultants.

Socialise: Altran’s social media manager will offer advice and best practices to manage professional e-reputation issues.

Every step of this programme will offer internet users' the possibility to participate.

An innovative recruitment communication tool

In 2011, Altran organised a two-week session of corporate broadcasting as an alternative to recruitment conferences at group headquarters. During 27 hours of live broadcasting the Group saw a five-fold increase in audience participation numbers, which rose from 50 to 280 on average. This operation leaded to a communication award (Top Com d’Or) in the category HR recruitment.

Taking this one step further, Altran recently constructed its own 100m² television studios on the premises of the 3IS School in Paris region. The partnership which made this project possible stipulates that students could take an active part in running the studio (technical and human support, maintenance) and as such benefit from a real "hands-on" learning experience.

The Altran group also draws on its own academic network of partner schools and universities

(Centrale Paris engineering school, Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne, Edhec etc.) to encourage student community participation.

“Career” will be available both on the Group’s Internet site ( http://www.altran.com/ ) and on its

Facebook page ( facebook.com/AltranGroup ) via a dedicated application. Visitors can log in to the

Group's website or Facebook page, identify themselves and interact with panellists after completing a questionnaire (using a pseudonym so as to maintain spontaneity) and apply for jobs on line.

This internet service is provided by Interneto, a specialist agency in the organisation of live events.
