1-2 pages - Structure: Complete an illustration detailing the three interior layers of the Sun and
the three layers of the Sun’s atmosphere. Provide an overview of each layer either directly on
your illustration or on a separate page.
1 page - Life Cycle: Research and summarize the life cycle of the sun; include current
predictions on when the Sun will become a red giant
1 page - History: Research the role of the Sun throughout history, particularly ancient
civilizations. For example, some ancient civilizations worshiped the Sun as one of many gods.
Once you have completed your research, compose an overview of the role that the Sun has
played throughout history.
1 page – Significance: Summarize the importance of the Sun to life on Earth.
