Shedding of Cattle
 Small Breeds to be stalled by 8.00am Saturday.
 Large Breeds to be stalled after 4.00 pm on Saturday and by 8.00 am Sunday.
 Exhibitors who have travelled over 100 klms are exempted from the above, please
advise on entry form.
Junior Paraders will be held on both Saturday & Sunday.
Entry fee: $10.00 per animal per class. Junior Paraders $2.00 per class.
Entries can be made by either:
- Online at ‘ Globalentriesonline.com.au” – refer Beef Cattle Schedule on
www.hawkesburyshow.com.au for link. (Credit
Card payment only) or
- By completing the entry form attached to this Schedule and mail or deliver to the Show
Office.
Payment for mail entries is by cheque or money order (in favour of HDAA). Cash &
Credit
Cards will also be accepted for over the counter entries.
The following is to be provided with each entry:
1. Breed certificate for each animal entered.
(All cattle, except commercial, must be registered with the appropriate Breed Society
and Exhibitors must abide by the Rules & Regulation of the relevant Breed Society).
2. Health certificate for property when animals are located.
3. Pestivirus test for each animal entered.
4. Risk waiver for each person working or being around cattle [This can be completed on
the day]

4th April 2016 or mail hard copies with entry form to be received at the office by 1st April
2016.


 Grand Parade: Exhibitors are encouraged to showcase their animals by participating in the
Grand Parade on Saturday at 1.00 pm, a cash prize of $100 for ”Best Cattle Exhibit on
Parade” will be on offer.
 Transport Carriers
To facilitate the free entry of stock transport carriers into the Showground, exhibitors must
apply, as part of the entry process, for an entry pass for their transport carrier. Details of
the carrier and what dates they will be dropping off and collecting cattle needs to be stated
as the gate passes will be bar-coded & date sensitive. Passes will be posted to you as the
exhibitor and it is your responsibility to get them to your carrier. Without these passes the
carriers will need to pay to enter the Showground so please make sure you organise these
at the time of placing your entries. All carriers are to enter the Showground through Gate
3.
BREEDS WILL BE JUDGED SUBJECT TO ENTRY NUMBERS.
Breed & Age MUST BE stated on entry form. Age of cattle is as of the SATURDAY of the Show.
Breeds with less than 6 head will be judged in ‘Any Other Breed’ classes.

CONDITIONS of ENTRY:
1. All cattle must be free of infectious disease and have an NLIS device fitted, it will be scanned
2. All bulls 12 months and over must have a nose ring.
3. All bulls under the age of 12 months are to be led with a bulldog grip.
4. Bulls must be adequately tended, to the steward’s satisfaction, so as not to present a
danger to the public.
5. All females must be led with a bull dog grip.
6. Calf at foot exempt from this rule unless entered in it's own class.
7. The Committee’s decision is final on all matters concerning the exhibition of cattle. The
Stewards reserve the right to refuse any entry and change/remove/merge classes.
8. All stock must be adequately supervised.
9. All cattle must be prepared by 8.30am on the day of Judging and must remain until 4.00pm.
10. All Saturday ribbon winners must enter the Grand Parade at 1.00pm on Saturday.
11. BEDDING will NOT be supplied. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN.
12. Please be considerate by allowing all possible exhibitors to be housed under cover. If
necessary, to accommodate large breeds under cover on Sunday, Saturday exhibitors may be
requested to move their cattle to outside accommodation.
13. Please advise on the entry form, if you will be arriving on Friday.
14. All persons in the Cattle area, exhibitors or passive helpers will need to fill out the
“RiskWarning” Indemnity / Waiver document. This form will need to be submitted on the day to
receive a “Wristband”. The wrist band will need to be worn when involved in any cattle
activities including Junior Paraders. If under 18 years of age a parent or guardian will need
to sign the form.

ANIMAL WELFARE POLICY
Hawkesbury District Agricultural Association (HDAA) provides for the welfare and treatment of
animals on the showground. The expectations and requirements are for the care of animals and
if exhibitors breach these conditions HDAA may take action if required through ejecting the
involved exhibitor and/or reporting the incident to the RSPCA for appropriate action.
An Exhibitor or Attendant of an Animal Exhibit must use all reasonable steps to ensure that the
exhibit is housed and cared for in accordance with the Animal Welfare Policy.
Please be mindful that there is public patrons watching you and your animals throughout the day.
Animal Welfare is a human responsibility that encompasses all aspects of animal wellbeing. This
includes, but is not limited to:
 Proper housing
 Management
 Nutrition
 Responsible care
 Humane handling, and
 Veterinary treatment

The Agricultural Societies Council of New South Wales advises that the participation, including passive participation in
events or activities at an agricultural show contains elements of risk, both obvious and inherent, the risks involved may
result in property damage and/or personal injury including death.

and activities at this, or any other show contains a risk of injury and I agree that I undertake any such risk voluntarily of

warning” for the purposes of Division 5 of the Civil Liability Act of 2002(NSW).
