SUBJECT
This course deals with the laboratory as well as field works in testing rock
materials and geological mapping exercises. A very small group of students will
work together in reforming the work task. Short briefing and explanation are given
prior to carrying out the experimental works. A formal technical report needs to
be submitted by the group of assessment.

OUTCOME OF
SUBJECT
At the end of this course, the student should be able to:1. Understand and identify some rock materials
2. Able to carry out some laboratory tests
3. To apply theoretical knowledge gained in lectures to experimental data
from laboratory and field works in producing the required geological
technical reports.
