1. Approval of draft objectives raised at AGM
 To further introduce Taiwanese Culture, host more cultural events e.g. workshops
 Co-operate with other international societies to help develop the cultural awareness
 Encourage taking part in the local community

2. Announcement of Joy Chen leaving Vice President position
 Teddy Ng volunteered – to be approved by the members in an EGM after summer
break
3. Discussion about price for membership fee and what in return to attract more people
 Membership fee: £6.00/annual
 discounted entry to all cultural workshops and society clothing (if applicable)
4. Discussion about the detail and price for each events
 Freshers’ Fayre (Freshers’ Week)
i. Banner & Flyer – Emily Yao volunteered to create banner & flyer/logo
ii. budget: quote to be done by Vicky Lam
iii. “United Asian Food Exhibition” – need to talk to other cultural societies –
action to be taken by Ting Lo

b. artificial dye of glutinous rice ball to be brought from Taiwan (during summer) – to
be done by Debby Ku
c. Chinese calligraphy equipment to be brought from Taiwan (during Christmas) – to be
done by Debby Ku
d. communication with other cultural (Asians in particular) societies with regard to
celebration of Chinese New Year – to be done by Jane Chen
