Math Comic Strip Project---Algebra I
What it Means: The idea of this project is for students to create a comic strip for Transitions or PreAlgebra students to assist them in understanding mathematics. A good comic strip should be
colorfully illustrated and legible.
What Must Be Done: Students will have to create a comic strip that is at least 8 frames long. It
must be colorfully illustrated, legible, and present a fundamental concept discussed in this year’s
math class. This comic strip does not have to be made out of anything expensive, but it must look
professional. Cardstock is a good option. Small posters work well too. Not full-size—the small ones.
Requirements for Project:
_________ Rubric signed (10/2/12)
_________ At least 8 frames, illustrated, legible, appropriate topic, professional-looking
_________ Comic strip due (10/10/12)
Assigned: September 28th, 2012
Project Due: October 10th, 2012
Do NOT wait until the day before this is due! You will not end up with a quality piece of
work. Use your time wisely.
Note: Mrs. Speegle reserves the right to have this assignment altered or changed based upon each
student’s needs.

For 8 frames, this app would have to be used twice---it goes up to 6 frames---or do it all by hand.
