Who We Are
Family Matters is a non-profit organization
in Annapolis County, whose mission is to
develop, coordinate and deliver programs,
services, and support that are proven to
promote the health and well being of
children aged 0 to 6 years and their
families, guardians, and caregivers in
Annapolis County. Our main location is 10
Middle Road Lawrencetown (Next to the
Elementary School)

Carnation Color Experiment
Check out to see what happens when you
put water and red food coloring in a glass
and then add a white carnation. No
Carnations? Take 3 glasses of water and
two pieces of paper towel- in the two
outside glasses add two different colors of
food coloring. Put one end of each paper
towel in the middle glass and the other
end in one of the glasses- watch to see
how the color changes!

National Child Day
National Child Day is celebrated on November
20th each year. National Child Day has been
celebrated across Canada since 1993 to
commemorate the United Nations' adoption of
two documents centered on children's rights:
the United Nations Declaration of the Rights
of the Child on November 20, 1959, and the
United Nations Convention on the Rights of
the Child on November 20, 1989.
