This summary parallels the sections in the marked up and clean catalog documents which are attached. East Carolina University and the Department of Construction Management in 1995 was awarded a $100,000 grant from the National Housing Endowment in order to study the educational content competencies necessary for a “model” Residential construction concentration. Upon completion of the study a course curriculum was proposed to the faculty and supported by the CMGT Industry Advisory Board. Catalog Narrative: In the current catalog starting on page 292-294, we propose changes to address these areas. Revision of the Construction Management Core curriculum Inclusion of Residential concentration Inclusion of Commercial concentration Transfer Option relocated in course program sequencing for clarity Core curriculum changes- CMGT prefix courses pages 351 and 352: The following changes to the construction management foundation courses (core) are proposed, starting on page 293 of the 2009-10 catalog. The table below summarizes the changes noted in the marked up catalog document. The “required documentation” column summarizes the changes for which course forms are submitted per guidance of the UCC web site.
