Special Task Force report

Iran is a country divided. Divided by two extremes wished by none but the insane to achieve. It has been presented the option of becoming a communist state, re-nationalizing the oil industry, and becoming a member of the soviet bloc. The other option which has been chosen is to become an ultraconservative Islamic nation that acts belligerently against all of its neighbors, and suppresses the press in order to maintain control over its own citizens. As the United States government, we have to see how neither of these options are preferable, and have to begin the Misey
Initiative in order to stabilize Iran, the middle east, and prevent either of these two options from happening again.
Of course, the current Security situation with riots outside of the US embassy has gotten worse and as day’s have gone by a need for security has become ever more evident. Due to this 100 US Navy SEALs are to be inserted via helicopter into the US Embassy to provide security to diplomats (and deal with possible hostage situations), and if no further riots occur for a period of one month, they shall be withdrawn peacefully. In addition, if the Iranian government refuses to accept them their identity shall be redesignated as security officials and the insertion shall be carried on despite objections, as any objections would be highly criticized by the
World Press since after all, security is needed in the wake of revolution. This SEALs will be sent in immediately upon President Carter’s approval of the Misey Initiative.
The rest of the Misey Initiative hinges upon three main pillars. The first of this is to launch a coup d’etat of the Shah’s government through the use of the CIA and
Navy Seals. the need for military force in this situation is unparalleled to any before, as Khomeni has not yet determined whether or not he will use these nuclear weapons, or dispose of them. In addition it can be seen that due to his political aggression against neighboring states it has to be made clear that he cannot stay in power. Beyond just these nuclear threats we have also seen human rights abuses in the forms of shootings and murders committed AFTER the revolution in order to pacify the populace and prevent the opposition from standing up to the undemocratic measures he has imposed. This means the use of military forces is necessary.
When CIA agents penetrate into his government we can use the information they use to determine his next political aggressions, and when he will be prone. When a time is found where Khomeni can be taken captive US Navy SEALs will be inserted into Iranian territory via faked passports, and the Navy SEALs chosen shall be of middle eastern heritage and speak persian in order to make this more believable, and the CIA agents will attempt to pay off border officials. The SEALs will then be split into two groups and complete two tasks. the first group shall proceed to the US embassy and take up weapons stored there and provide security for our delegation and prevent any hostage crises from occurring. The second group shall proceed to where Khomeni is believed to be vulnerable, and using concealed weapons storm

where he is, and take him captive. He shall then be taken to the US Embassy where any spare SEALs shall provide security and he will be evacuated via a helicopter on the roof of the embassy, which will carry armed US Marines to the Embassy to provide more security. Of course, the Helicopter will be a non military based one normal designated for carrying oil, as this will allow for enough space to carry enough marines, and provide cover for their insertion. After military operations have come to a close, phase two of the Misey Initiative shall begin.
Phase two of the Misey Initiative begins after Khomeni has been evacuated from the country. This includes NATO coalition forces invading and taking control over the country of Iran. The plan is fairly simple. Once Khomeni is held captive the helicopter pilot shall send word to the commander of NATO forces, and a land, air and naval invasion of Iran shall begin, which should be estimated to take under 24 hours. In addition more paratroopers will be deployed just outside of Tehran, where they will then proceed to the US Embassy, and secure that area while they wait for the rest of the NATO military to arrive. Then once a clear victory has been established, the USA shall use Khomeni’s release (because of his immense popularity) to force the Islamic government to step down and allow for NATO forces to occupy and set up a transitional government in Iran, which will slowly be dissolved as a transition to democracy within the country takes place.
Phase three of the Misey Initiative Is this transition to democracy.
Understanding the reason that the Shah was overthrown was that the population of
Iran was not content with his dictatorship, a democracy will allow for a better representation of the peop le’s will. This will begin when a gathering of recognized political figures from the Iranian people shall be gathered in order to write a constitution for the country. The constitution shall have the following requirements however, that 1st, the government shall be a representative democracy, with NO
EXCEPTIONS to give dictatorial powers to any man, and that any amendments to the said constitution cannot modify this, 2nd, that the government shall shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, in order to prevent a religious state from occurring. Lext, the constitution shall not allow for a communist or socialist state in Iran, and the constitution shall enable Iran to become a trade partner with the United States in order to strengthen their economy, and political ties. The fourth and final requirement shall be that the
Iranian government shall maintain a sizable enough military to control it own territory and prevent extremist groups from taking back power, and the military shall swear allegiance to the Iranian constitution.
In conclusion it must be seen that Iran is on a course towards destruction, and we must establish a third path for the nation’s future via the
Misey Initiative . By adopting this plan, we can hope to achieve all our goals in Iran. We will defeat the extremist regime ran by Khomeni through military force in order to allow for a transition to democracy, which will allow for deeper economic and political ties than before, and help promote democracy throughout the Middle East by choosing the third choice of democracy as a way to move forward, not just now, but in the years to come.
