Youth Development Administration, Ministry of Education Seminar on Youth Public Participation and International Humanitarianism in the Age of Globalization Enrollment Guide In order to promote youth awareness on the trend and practical of public participation and international humanitarianism, the Youth Development Administration, Ministry of Education, invites international youth leaders to attend the “Youth Public Participation and International Humanitarianism in the Age of Globalization” seminar, 28th -29th October, 2013. The seminar covers diverse and attractive topics, including development trends and challenges of youth public participation, platforms and opportunities for youth international participation, and promotion and practice of youth voluntary service. Applicant requirements: Taiwanese youth, student or foreign student studying in a Taiwanese college, aged between 18-25 (born between 27th Oct., 1988 and 27th Oct., 1995), who are interested in public and international participation and voluntary service. Fluent in English (Taiwanese youth or student must have intermediate level of The General English Proficiency Test or equivalents as shown in the attachment). Total of 100 applicants will be selected to participate (no more than 5 from the same school or organization) and another 30 will be placed on the waiting list. 2. We provide all participants of this seminar whose schools or workplaces are 2 located to the south of Hsinchu City and Eastern Taiwan with one night accommodation (the YDA arranges the accommodation place and room type on 28th Oct.). 3. Registration: Online via iYouth website (http://iyouth.youthhub.tw/main.php) from now on to PM5:00, 7th Oct. Please fill out the registration form and upload a photocopy of English proficiency document. C. Selection procedure: 1. The YDA staff first review the qualification of applicants. 2. The YDA staff and the third party will then convene a committee to select the participants. 3. The finalized list will be released via YDA official website, iYouth website by 22nd Oct.
