SEMINAR ON YOUTH PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AND INTERNATIONAL
HUMANITARIANISM IN THE AGE OF GLOBALIZATION

OFFICIAL INVITATION
Dear madam or sir,
On behalf of the Youth Development Administration, Ministry of Education, Republic
of China, we would like to formally invite a delegation (6–8 members, including 1
youth affairs officer who will be in charge of the delegation, and 5–7 young people
age 18–25.) from your organization to participate in the Seminar on Youth Public
Participation and International Humanitarianism in the Age of Globalization being
held from October 21 to 27, 2015 in Taipei, Republic of China, to promote youth
affairs exchange.
Your country has made giant strides in many fields, especially in youth public
participation. Like you, the Youth Development Administration has constructed a
vision for the development of our young people, to help them develop holistically in
positive ways. We are energetically involved in youth development policy work,
youth career guidance promotion, public participation, international participation,
experiential learning, and other youth development programs. (For more details,

Although your esteemed organization and the Youth Development Administration are
oceans apart, we share the same lofty values of democracy and care for youth. Hence,
we are fully confident that the event will be fulfilling and effectively strengthen the
relationship between our organizations. We are sure that this international youth
exchange event will allow us to make more friends with people from around the
world.
We have arranged a series of activities between Wednesday October 21 and Tuesday,

October 27, as well as the seminar itself (details are attached). For example, in-depth
discussions for the youth affairs officers from various countries to participate in, on
topics such as establishing collaboration and exchange mechanisms; young people
sharing their experiences at a “world café”; and visits to youth organizations and
travel spots. We expect that the farewell dinner with performances by the young
international guests will be a major highlight of the seminar!
Key information about the seminar:
‧ The official language of the seminar is English.
‧ We will provide full hospitality (accommodation and meals) in the Republic of
China, but the participants are responsible for their travel expenses to and from the
Republic of China.
‧ Each national delegation should consist of 6–8 people: 1 youth affairs officer who
will be in charge of the delegation, and 5–7 young people aged between 18 and 25
who have all had experience in public participation, international humanitarianism,
and/or voluntary service.
‧ The youth affairs officer may be appointed to assist by being a moderator or a
panelist during the seminar.
‧ The 5–7 young people should prepare a 5-minute national cultural performance to
present at the farewell dinner.
‧ A booth will be provided for each country in the seminar venue to promote its
youth policies and related exchange activities.
‧ The registration form should be completed and sent for us to receive by June 30,
2015.
