Half-time Performance
IMPORTANT: All-Honors Band Information
Lunch provided for students and band directors at the NSU Iberville Cafeteria. Parents and
family can purchase lunch for $7.50. Students, band directors, sponsors and parents - Dinner on
your own.
Please don’t forget your instrument.
Uniform for the half-time performance will consist of a t-shirt (which we will provide for you)
and blue jeans or conservative shorts and tennis shoes (shorts are encouraged as it is usually
pretty warm).
IMPORTANT: Demon Drum & Color Guard Information
Thanks for registering for the 2015 Young Performer’s Day. We are looking forward to the best
day ever, and it is sure to be a fun and exciting day. The NSU section leaders will help run
clinics on the music in the morning, to assist with specific technical problems in percussion and
to teach the color guard and twirling routines. Sodexo Dining services will provide a terrific
lunch for all participants and sponsors in the NSU Iberville Cafeteria (dinner not provided). We
look forward to having you with us on September 26th.
Performance Uniform: NSU Young Performer’s Day t-shirts (provided by us and issued at 3:00
on the day of the event) and conservative shorts or jeans. (Shorts recommended as it can be quite
hot). Please bring your own equipment. Percussionist may want to bring extra heads & sticks.
Color Guard Dress for 2015 Young Performer’s Day: Participants in the color guard flags/rifles
should wear athletic clothes for the day’s rehearsal. Some rehearsals may be outside, so shorts,
water bottles, and sunscreen are encouraged. For the exciting performance at half time with the
Spirit of Northwestern, participants should plan to wear black shorts or black dance pants. Jeans
are not conducive to the choreography. We look forward to seeing you there!
Percussion and Color Guard will perform first on the half-time program. Students may leave
after the performance, but are invited to stay and enjoy the remainder of the game. If you have
any additional questions, feel free to call 318-357-4522.
IMPORTANT: Ticket Information for Sept. 26
PARENTS:
Good News! We will have $5 General Admission tickets available on Sept. 26th for parents and
family of students participating in the 2015 Young Performer’s Day. You can purchase the
tickets in Room 110 of the Creative and Performing Arts Center on the day of the game. These
tickets are normally $15. Advance sales are not possible for this special group rate price.
WE HOPE YOU WILL COME TO THE EXHIBITION PERFORMANCE SCHEDULED FOR
HALF-TIME OF THE NSU vs. CENTRAL ARKANSAS FOOTBALL GAME. EVERYONE
IS INVITED TO STAY FOR THE ENTIRE FOOTBALL GAME, BUT IF YOU WISH TO
LEAVE AFTER HALF-TIME, FEEL FREE TO DO SO.
