Arts and Cultural Development Advisory Committee (ACDAC) APPLICATION FORM The City of Darwin invites Expressions of Interest from individuals wishing to apply for a position on Council’s Arts and Cultural Development Advisory Committee. Up to ten (10) positions are available and individuals representing a diversity of areas across the creative industries are encouraged to apply. The Committee meets five times per year and provides input and advice into Council’s arts and culture programs including the Public Art program. Typically meetings are held at lunchtimes (12 noon – 1.30 pm) during February, April, June, September and November. Please apply using the online form below. Applicants should note that application to the Committee is a competitive process and is based on merit. Council is seeking individuals with experience in the arts and cultural sector, in particular with skill sets in the following: Expertise in visual arts, public art, curatorial skills, architecture, design or similar Expertise in performing arts, live music, creative production, festivals and events Experience in sourcing sponsorship, philanthropy or other partnership opportunities Close connections to the Darwin area and understanding of the unique context of the Northern Territory Experience working with diverse community groups including in particular youth, and indigenous communities. We will also be looking for individuals that have the following attributes and qualities: A passion for the arts and creative industries and a willingness to represent the interests, needs and aspirations of the sector. Ability to contribute skills and knowledge to enhance the decision making process of the Committee and recommendations to Council. Expertise in an area of arts practice that will add to the knowledge base of the Committee.
