Modern Art Monument
What I did for this project in Google sketch was a Monument.
My monument is based on modern and abstract art. I made it for the
great artists that spend their time doing great works of art in a
Modern or abstract way maybe even both. Also I designed because it
is something that I really like and find really creative, I really like how
artist do modern art sculptures. Some objects that I chose for this
monument was first a stone rectangular base, I choose to do it
rectangular because I thought it was one of the more easy way to
start a monument and also it is the most easy and flat object to have
thing on top. I choose it from stones since I thought that it would be
different and look more original and modern that simple concrete.
That it has two cylinders that are full of vegetation, both cylinders
are from different size, on is tall and thick while the other one is
skinny and short. I made the different size so it looked abstract also
they basically are made of plants (vegetation) I found this really
creative and really modern since there are not a lot of monument
made of vegetation the at the end of both cylinders you can find
water that connect to a shape in the middle that contains more water
its kind of a fountain were you can throw coins. So basically the water
goes through both cylinders ending in the middle shape that get full of
water. I did this because it was original also when you mix vegetation
and water it is something abstract and modern is something that is no
so usual. Also I did this because I liked the idea of a fountain made of
two cylinders. Finally in the top you can see a triangle. That makes the
idea of a modern monument/sculpture. I made this triangle so people
could see the idea of modern art is also a kind of abstraction. The
triangle is made of wood that makes it original by not being of stone or
a material like that the wood triangle is getting support by both
cylinder. Then in the inside of the wood triangle there is another
triangle but this triangle is made of glass, you can see through it. I
made this because glass is a modern material also it is a different way
and original way to make a monument. So basically all of this shapes
and all of the materials make it an abstract and modern monument.
When I think of modern art I think of abstraction, so I think about a
lot of shapes mixed together. So this was the point of my monument,
to make a monument to modern art and the entire artist. To show how
much the world appreciates them by making a monument with a lot of
different shapes with modern material and in a modern way that is
constructed. So to end this, my monument is made for modern art or
overall for art. Because art is a way that all of us can express
ourselves in a different way.
