10 June 2014: For those who dream of spending the night in a fairytale Castle fit for Royalty, Warwick
Castle has unveiled two magnificent Tower Suites appointed with bespoke furniture and fittings in the
14th century Caesar’s Tower, rooms familiar to generations of kings, queen and noblemen. Evoking
the opulence of the Victorian era, the apartments – The Peacock Suite and The Rose Suite – offer
guests the first opportunity in living memory to spend the night resplendent in their own private
chamber at the Castle which enjoys a wealth of Royal connections.
The Tower Suites will welcome guests from Friday, 18 July 2014 and cost £600 per night for two
adults to indulge in an overnight stay with breakfast, and enjoy a private Castle tour and two days
priority access to the Castle attractions.
Each Suite is located on its own private floor of the 14th century Caesar’s Tower and comprises of an
opulent bed chamber replete with four-poster bed in addition to contemporary en-suite facilities. All
aspects of the accommodation, including the furniture and fabrics, have been designed and created
specifically for this exceptional location and to compliment the mediaeval architecture which includes
vaulted ceilings.

Warwick Castle has provided generations of aristocracy and Royalty – including Anne Neville, the wife
of Richard III, and the Earls of Warwick – with a comfortable home, while other notable guests over
the centuries include Henry V, Elizabeth I and Queen Victoria. The rooms that have been restored to
become the Tower Suites housed Edward IV during his enforced stay at the Castle in 1469, part of a
plot by Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick to rule England. Most recently HRH The Prince of Wales
visited the Castle in June 2014 to mark its 1,100th anniversary and enjoy Afternoon Tea in The State
Dining Room.
The Castle, commanding an enviable position on the banks of the River Avon, is located at the heart
of historic Warwick, a county town renowned for its mediaeval architecture and proximity to the
birthplace of William Shakespeare at Stratford-upon-Avon.
