Sports Programs:
There are a variety of competitive sport opportunities available at Le Jardin Academy (LJA). LJA participates in two
different athletic leagues. Our 4th-6th graders participate in the Christian Schools Athletic League (CSAL) and our 7th12th graders participate in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH). Additional sports are available through
participation in Pac Five. Pac Five is an athletic program that combines players from private schools on Oahu to
create teams or sports that are not offered at a student’s school. Pac Five teams compete in the ILH.

Le Jardin Soccer Academy (LJSA)
LJSA is divided into two parts. We offer the
Academy side which is an after school training
program for kids who would like to become
familiar with the game of soccer. The Academy is
offered to kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade
and is coached by Paco Saavedra and Shannon
Pelkey who both have professional soccer
experience. Sessions are offered throughout the
year.
The other side of LJSA is our competitive club. We
currently have 7 teams in our competitive club
ranging from the ‘under 8’ (U8) team to the ‘under
13’ (U13 team). The competitive club has produced
several tournament and state championship teams
and is considered one of the premier soccer clubs
on the island of Oahu.
LJSA was started in 2006 and has recently become
an official “Chelsea Football Club” partnering with
the Chelsea FC in London, England.
