Storyboard
Choose one of the four River Valley Civilizations that we are studying in class (Mesopotamia, Egypt,
China, or Indus River). You will, individually, make a storyboard for that civilization on the paper
provided. The storyboard should give information about your civilization while telling the story of the
civilization.
In order to complete this assignment, read the chapter FIRST, consult your notes, THEN start your
storyboard. PLAN before you start to draw! MAKE SURE you have all of the requirements listed
below!
Your storyboard should meet ALL of the follow criteria:
1. The basic STORY of your civilization (what happened to them beginning, middle, and end) You
have to read the chapter to know the story.
2. Examples of AT LEAST THREE of the following elements of a civilization: government, specialized
labor, evidence of religion or belief system, social classes, record keeping or writing, cities, art.
3. One slide depicting the physical geography and its impact on the civilization.
4. One free space to be used any way you choose to exhibit important information about the human
or physical environment of the culture hearth.
5. At least 8 frames

7. Careful work with attention to detail
