Warren Sheets
President
The president of San Francisco-based Warren Sheets Design, Inc. (WSD), Warren Sheets is an
artistic and visionary interior designer known for his hands-on approach and meticulous attention
to detail. He has overseen WSD for nearly 30 years, accruing a diverse portfolio of high-end
residential and commercial projects located across the country, including New York, Palm
Beach, Chicago and Beverly Hills.
With decades of experience and training, as well as a decidedly client-centric approach, Sheets
has orchestrated many creative successes, earning international recognition and marquee clients
– from luxury homes to posh hotels to exclusive private country clubs – in the process. A
sampling of his company’s completed projects include: San Diego’s award-winning Grand Del
Mar Resort and its critically acclaimed signature restaurant, Addison; an historic lodge, as well
as a collection of 43 custom homes at Kootenai Estates in Montana; a luxury downtown Chicago
townhome; an antique car salon and museum in Florida; The Vintage and The Eldorado Country
Clubs in Indian Wells, Calif.; and Villa del Lago, a $57 million mansion located on the only 13acre property above Pelican Hill Resort on the Newport Coast.
Along with Sharon Regan, his longtime business partner, Sheets has earned a stellar reputation
based on his exacting approach and painstaking attention to the tiniest detail. Keenly focused on
the notion that no two projects should be alike – down to the trim on the throw pillows – Sheets
and his team of dedicated artisans travel the globe looking for new and innovative materials, as
well as inspirational ideas and concepts. With special expertise in antiques and antiquities,
Sheets also specializes in historic restorations – combing antique shops, flea markets and small
historic towns to unearth unique treasures and architectural artifacts. In fact, over the years,
WSD has established a large network of artists, dealers and vendors throughout the United
States, England, France and Italy who fabricate and source custom art, accessories, one-of-a-kind
furniture and rare antiques.
With a theatrical background, Sheets is known for unveiling his work with flourish, creating
customized client viewings with music, gourmet fare – even dancing. These signature events not
only take Sheets back to his roots as a theater arts major and director of musical theater, but also
capture the inherent philosophy of Warren Sheets Design.
“Think of it from the clients’ perspective,” Sheets said. “They have let you into their lives, their
homes, their entire persona; and also trust you to stay on time and budget. When they see the
finished product for the first time, it should be special. The curtain goes up, and there it is – with
every detail complete.”

BIOGRAPHY: Warren Sheets – 2
A native of Los Angeles, Sheets originally stoked his creative spirit while studying theater arts
and direction at UCLA, launching a community theater group and producing and directing
musicals. While attending college, Sheets worked in display and styling at a high-end showroom
and design studio, which provided the genesis of his design career. A store client asked him to
help design her San Clemente residence; one satisfied client led to another and soon Sheets
enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, earning an associate’s degree in
interior design.
In 1984, he opened a Los Angeles studio on Melrose Avenue; and in 1995, moved Warren
Sheets Design and its staff to San Francisco.
Since then, Sheets and Regan have built a top-notch client base that includes many repeat
customers, as well as prominent and celebrity owners of multiple residences, among them the
late Roxie Roker Kravitz and her musician son, Lenny Kravitz; and Faye Resnick of “The Real
Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
He is a member of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America, The California
Historical Society, and San Francisco Coalition for Responsible Growth (SRG).
