We will have a very busy July coming up with three major council fund raising events coming in a row and we are looking for volunteers to help with all three events. These events help us raise money for our charity account and along with the State Raffle are our sole means or raising money to help those that need it most. Here is a rundown on these activities. Bill Chrostowski Grand Knight 715.830.9371 Jerry Whalen Treasurer & Council Director whalen1981@charter.net 715.834.1981 July 6, 2015 Congratulations to our new slate of officers. This time around we will end up having Past Grand Knight comments as our new Grand Knight assumes his duties. Our Grand Knight for the 2015-16 fraternal year is Bill Chrostowski. As many of you know Bill has been our Membership Director for many years with much success. Bill is a member of Immaculate Conception parish and has been involved in many of the service programs and council activities over the past 9 years. We are happy to see what this year brings under his leadership with his knowledge and experience in membership and council activities. A special thanks to our outgoing Grand Knight Kevin Friederichs. It looks like we will qualify for Star Council for the second year in a row. Under Kevin’s leadership we have had resurgence in membership along with continued success in the council’s service programs. Kevin’s two years as Grand Knight seemed to fly by but they have been a great two years for this council. I would like to congratulate him and his officers. Next time you see Kevin please thank him for his service and Submit articles to Tim Carroll: tcfromec54703@gmail.com Vivat Jesus! Tim Carroll On July 17 & 18 we will be working at the parking for the Eaux Claires Music Festival. This is a new event for Eau Claire and things have changed slightly for this event in the last couple of days. We originally were told we would sell parking passes at the Jam Grounds but the event organizers have moved the parking to off-site locations. We will have two lots that we will be selling parking passes at. The two locations will be the Memorial High School lot and the Chippewa Valley Technical College lot by the Clairemont Ave. foot bridge. Sorry for the last minute change but even the people running parking were unaware of this change till last week. The event has become so big that they will be using the on-site lots for venders and shops for the event. There will be 7 off-site lots around the city with 160 shuttle busses bringing people to and from the event to the parking lots. The shifts we are working have not Like us on Facebook: www.facebook.com/KofC1257 KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS JOHN F KENNEDY COUNCIL 1257 NEWSLETTER changed and we will assign you to a location if you have already signed up. Keep in mind that this is the first year of this event so there are bound to be a few curves thrown at us but I think it should work out just fine.
