Teachers have implemented the use of the Texas Instruments TI-Nspire CX Graphing Calculator in their classrooms to analyze and interpret data. Each teacher has a classroom set of TI-Nspire CX Graphing Calculator. For security purposes, your child’s teacher will implement certain guidelines for the use of the calculators. All calculators will have engraved identification numbers. Your child will be assigned his/her own calculator by number to be use by him/her during that class period. They will not be allowed to take the calculator out of the classroom. Some families may choose to purchase a graphing calculator for use at home. We recommend the TI-83+, TI-84+, TI-Nspire Touchpad, or TI-Nspire CX. We will strictly adhere to the following guidelines. Please discuss these with your child before signing below and returning this form to your child’s teacher. If you have any questions, please contact me at (830) 221.2400 laura.hahn@comalisd.org . or
