Congratulations! You are about to embark on the trip of a lifetime, the opportunity to follow in the
footsteps of an internationally-acclaimed author as she recreates the journey behind her book.
Experience the charm, beauty, and history of Paris and Provence with Susan Vreeland, as she leads you
on an intimate and exclusive nine-night/ten-day tour of Paris and Provence to share her inspiration and
research for her newest book, Lisette’s List. Your itinerary is scheduled as follows:

Itinerary:
This itinerary has been exclusively prepared for a unique experience with Susan Vreeland to recreate the
inspiration and research behind Lisette’s List. As such, it is not like the standard tours of Paris and
Provence. We have incorporated some standard sights where they are integral to the book, and have
allowed for opportunities for free time and many meals on your own so that you may explore further to
make your experience more customized for you. While the goal is to follow the itinerary as closely as
possible, we reserve the right to make changes when it is necessary to do so due to unforeseen
circumstances.
Cost and Arrangements:







Because of the exclusive and intimate nature of this trip, registration is limited and will be on a
first-come, first-served basis (determined by payment of deposit and signed Registration
Agreement). You are encouraged to register ASAP to guarantee availability.
The itinerary above has been meticulously planned for your enjoyment. However, the agenda
may be subject to change at Adventures by the Book’s discretion and/or availability and will not
alter the terms of this Agreement.
Cost for the weeklong event is $4,495 (US) per person (based on double occupancy); single room
supplement is $895 (US) per person.
Hotels have been selected based on availability, accessibility, and budget and may be local,
independent hotels in the European style rather than the full-service hotels travelers typically
expect in the United States.
Registration is not complete until this signed Registration Agreement and a $350 nonrefundable deposit is received by Adventures by the Book. Deposit may be made by check
payable to Adventures by the Book and mailed to P.O. Box 421472, San Diego, CA 92142, or by
credit card on our website at adventuresbythebook.com (PayPal processing fee will apply).
A second deposit of one-half of the remaining balance is due no later than February 1, 2015.
Final payment of the balance is due by August 1, 2015. After final payment, no refunds will be
issued. Trip cancellation and interruption insurance is strongly recommended and available
through most travel agencies.

We reserve the right to cancel the tour should the minimum number of Travelers not be
reached, or in the event of unforeseen emergency by Susan Vreeland or Adventures by the
Book, or in the event of acts of war or acts of God that may deem travel unsafe. In any of those
instances, the $350 deposit shall be fully refundable.
Airfare is not included; it is strongly recommended that you not make your flight reservations
unless and until we have reached our tour minimum or unless you have travel insurance that
covers the possibility of cancellation.
A current passport is required for travel to France. This is the responsibility of Traveler, and
failure to do so that prohibits travel will not result in tour refund.
Adventures by the Book, Susan Vreeland, and Anderson Travel are not responsible for any costs
or expenses the Traveler may incur in the event of tour cancellation, as this is the purpose of
travel insurance.
Traveler is responsible for arranging for international medical insurance in the event of medical
emergency during the tour; if Traveler has medical conditions and/or medications that tour
operator should be aware of, it is the Traveler’s responsibility to list those
medications/conditions below.
If Traveler has special dietary needs, those must be made known in writing prior to the tour; we
will make best efforts to accommodate those special needs, but we have no control over the
local offerings of a foreign country.
It is strongly recommended that Traveler arrange for foreign currency exchanges and monetary
necessities prior to travel or at the airport upon arrival, as currency exchange facilities may be
limited or unavailable during the tour.
Included:

Nine nights in Paris/Provence, breakfast each day, welcome reception, farewell dinner, daily
private coach, specialized sightseeing tours in Paris and Provence, all local tour land
transportation, transfer to Nice airport at tour end, tour guides and translator, admission fees
for scheduled tours, author travel, small intimate group size, copy of signed, first-edition
Lisettte’s List, and the experience of a lifetime.
Not Included:

Airfare, trip cancellation or interruption insurance, passport fees, any meals not listed, all
personal expenses (including but not limited to laundry, phone charges, beverages/alcohol not
included with meals, souvenirs, internet service, and other incidentals), any tours, admission
fees, transportation, etc . not included on tour itinerary, international medical and emergency
insurance.

Limitations:

Neither Adventures By the Book nor Susan Vreeland are responsible for any damages, loss,
theft, or additional charges to the room, all of which must be settled directly between the
undersigned guest and the tour hotels, nor for any damages, loss, and thefts incurred during the
trip.
The undersigned acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions set forth on all four (4) pages of
this Registration Agreement.
