Words, Words, Words (WCubed)
Explanation: “Words, words, words,” Hamlet uttered in response when he was
asked what he was reading. They’re everywhere! Here’s what our WCubed stands
for.
 Words 1: vocabulary
 Words 2: grammar and conventions
 Words 3: spelling
Each WCubed will contain vocabulary words or roots taken from our semester list.
Each paragraph will also have all kinds of spelling, grammar, and conventions
errors, but you will be given a focus in addition. You will have to write each
paragraph correctly.
Example:
Here’s what you’re given:
students at vvhs helping do many grand things they shout we can help in so many
ways and build our resume’s to
Here’s what you would do:
First, correct the sentence.
Students at V.V.H.S. help do many grand things. They shout, “We can help
in so many ways and build our resumes, too!”
Second, write it in your own words.
Students here at Vocano help do a lot of really neat things. They cheer,
“There’s a lot of stuff we can do to help and make ourselves look good while
we’re doing it!”
