GULL LAKE SPORTS BOOSTERS Meeting Minutes October 13, 2014 In attendance: Sue Blesch, Chuck Clancy, Jodi Clark, Jan Fouts, Sera Gesmundo, Charmaine Hostetler, Carri Kistner, Bob Kuehl, Todd Maddox, Char Madison, Sara Miller, Karen Nusbaum, Maria Pavletic, Tammy Sanders, Natalie Snow, Marc Throop, Don Eastman, Michelle Jaros Sera Gesmundo called the meeting to order at 7:02pm I. Meeting Minutes Motion to approve September minutes by Sara Miller; seconded by Jan Fouts and approved by all. II. DECA-Michelle Jaros Business and Marketing Club; have used pay to play and fundraiser to help fund DECA Proposing 2nd year students to run school store, help with inventory, work with vendors, designing Would like to have more items in store based on students' list of needs/wants Separate coding for items-DECA vs. Boosters to designate money earned Can open during lunch every day 10am-12pm Would like to start up second trimester and utilize online store Concerns: separation of items; need to set parameters before we start the adventure; write up agreement; space may be an issue; apparel a Booster item only, student responsibilities Carri, Marie, Natalie, Sera will have a write up at next meeting III. Financial Update-Sue Blesch As of 9/30/14 Total Cash $86,207.78 Committed Funds -$58,690.99 Total non-committed Funds $27,516.79 8/31/2015 Project balance $36,516.79 Approximate profit for golf outing $2800.00 IV. Athletic Director Update-Marc Want to be on the same page regarding GL apparel throughout district Homecoming went well Student admissions: $20 t-shirt for free admission to all home b-ball games Battle of the Fans-State Competition V. Committee Update a. Golf Outing (CJ Buckhout, Sara Miller)-no report b. Concessions (Jan Fouts, Natalie Snow)-no report c. Spirit Shop (Carri Kistner, Karen Nusbaum) working on DECA partnership d. Membership (S. Gesmundo, C. Hostetler, M. Shoemaker, T. Johnson) Numbers down e. Website (Susan Hamelink)-no report f. Homecoming/Rib Dinner (Natalie Snow) Sold 26 full, 15 half, 55 pork sandwiches and 7-8 ordered at door Kolling's Korner will give a donation to Boosters g. Blue Devil Bash (Jodi Clark, Bob Kuehl)-no report h. Drive One For Your School (Todd Maddox)-no report i. Car Raffle (Bob Kuehl, Dan Casey) Predicting to have 150 sold. $3750 to booster and half to winner.....so far on 50/50 Friday, October 24, 2014, 6-10pm. 3-year lease, $9000; $50/ticket; If not all tickets sold, becomes 50/50 raffle Car will be on display at all home football games Maria to send out another email blast j. The Event (Jodi Clark, Bob Kuehl)-no report VI. New/Old Business Thank you card sent around from tennis team We need to have recycling bins for outside; Cost for a Shupan bin-$129 delivered. Natalie will look into pricing for pick up; would like two to start. Pop vendor might have one.
