Laboratory Technician
Temporary Hourly
Environmental Analysis Facility
The Environmental Analysis Facility at the Desert Research Institute in Reno, NV, is seeking a parttime (20 hours per week maximum) hourly laboratory technician to work graveyard shifts assisting
with sample preparation and analysis in an analytical laboratory. Depending on experience and
skills, other duties may include operation of analytical instrumentation including a GC/MS, Elemental
Analyzer, HPLC, IC and Thermal/Optical Carbon Analyzer.
QUALIFICATIONS
 High school diploma or equivalent with at least one year of college or equivalent work
experience.
 Must have at least one year of experience in an analytical laboratory or research laboratory
 Ability to be able to operate delicate laboratory equipment.
 Must be able to work with little or no supervision; attention to detail, integrity and good
analytical techniques a must.
 Background in physical or life sciences is preferred.
HOURS / PAY
Max 20 hour per week on graveyard shifts. $12/hr, no benefits.
