Issue Analysis In the article “Capital Punishment Is Morally Justified” by Casey Carmical which appeared in the Opposite Viewpoints, Carmical argues that the death penalty is actually morally right. It differs from the article by the Amnesty International’s “Capital Punishment Violates Human Rights,” because it is proving the total opposite. Carmical is credible due to the fact he has a lot of evidence to behind his statement. The Amnesty International’s article agrees a lot with the article “Capital Punishment is Too Expensive to Retain” by Richard Dieter, because they both oppose the death penalty. They both agree that the death penalty is expensive and every human has the right to live. Whereas the article “Capital Punishment Should be Considered in Certain Child Rape Cases” by Justice Samuel Anthony Alito has a very different viewpoint from all these articles. The article brings up the fact that the death penalty should only be considered in severe rape cases. It is relatable to Carmicals article because they do indeed concur that some criminals deserve the death penalty.
