Registration Priority will be given to Wounded Warrior and Gold Star Family teams. All Wounded Warrior participants must be Purple Heart recipients, or combat veterans suffering from PTS/TBI, or their spouses. Participants in other Divisions must all be qualified members of the selected Division, or their spouses. Teams with little/no experience in outrigger canoe racing should enter only five names, and a Qualified Steersperson will be provided. Youth Race: Youth teams will register using a different Registration Form. Cost: $60.00 per team. Participants will receive a t-shirt, lunch, & awards (as appropriate). Corporate Sponsors may also provide corporate logo T-Shirts and/or hats to wear in the race. Entry Deadline: Registration for Wounded Warrior Teams will be open through 1 July. If any of the 28 Wounded Warrior Teams are not filled by that date, Registrations will then be accepted through 15 July for an Active Duty / Guard / Reserve / Veteran category. Teams that register for this category will be selected by drawing for participation in the race. Announcements of the drawing will be made on 16 July. All Registration fees are due by close of business Thursday, 31 July. No late entries will be accepted, and no refunds of registration fees will be provided after this date. Payment Method: Please remit payment by checks payable to “AUSA Hawaii.” The Title Sponsor of the Regatta is the Hawaii Chapter of the Association of the United States Army. Program Information: Team Captain Meeting at 8:15 am. Regatta Opening Ceremony begins at 8:30 am. The first race will begin at 9 am. Teams may request familiarization training in advance of race day: submit requests to Hawaii@AUSA.org. Limited on-site pre-race training will be provided to VIP participants and pre-designated wounded warrior team members.
