Key Responsibilities:
 Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities for vessels while in port,
including boarding and husbanding vessels when required.
 Making all necessary arrangements and coordination prior to the vessel’s arrival to affect
a smooth and efficient turnaround.
 Manage ongoing third party logistics (3PL) relationships and monitor their performance to
optimize the cost
 Liaise with all internal customers and suppliers for daily operations.
 Analyze distribution network trends and implement changes as appropriate
 Manage all logistics operations and support across all distribution channels to ensure
efficient dispatch.
 Analyze data to monitor performance demand and plan improvements.
 Carry out root cause analysis and problem resolution for all logistics operation.
 Analyze logistics problem not produce new solution
 Drive the increase in road safety awareness.
 Work with Principals, terminal operators, stevedores, Port authorities, Government
officials and other parties to ensure safe and efficient practices and methods.
 Orientation and familiarization of principals to various characteristics of the Port area.
 Send pro-forma for existing and new principals.
 Responsible for initial communications between owners/operators and charterers of
vessel.
 Maintain communication, in conjunction with Operations Representatives, with Federal
and State authorities, local pilots, Terminal operators, Port authorities, Stevedores,
Surveyors etc., in order to ensure a smooth and safe operation during a vessel call.
 Verify agent overtime and mileage and responsible for the port office’s adherence to all
quality procedures.
Fleet Management:
Self is familiar in Managing Fleet and direct the Transport Division both in M/s. Panamax
Shipping Services, RAK and M/s. Star Cement Co, L.L.C, Dubai. The underneath tasks have been
carried out:
 Supervise the Operations of Local Transport.
 Ensure efficient and effective daily planning of the Local Transport activities, such as
Route scheduling, Driver Allotment and Fleet Deployment.
 Administer and guide the drivers and planners on a daily basis.
 Ensure daily co-ordination and communication with customers, transport sub-contractors
and transport team members.
 Communicate with internal customers (primarily the freight department) to ensure all
delivery requests are executed on time and as per the Service Level Assessment (SLA.)
 Conduct site inspections for new areas of delivery where necessary.
 Ensure that administrative staff are capturing all required data e.g. trip-sheets, fuel
records, tracking reports and KPI data.

 Monitor all trip records for billing purposes.
 Record daily Vehicle Occupancy Rate (VOR) and Vehicle Idle Time
 Ensure close monitoring of all driver document submissions e.g. fuel slips, trip sheets and
pre trip inspections.
 Recommend areas of improvement within General Transport activities and operations.
 Assist with daily operational requests from external customers.
 Monitor serious incidents.
 Keep up to date with market trends, market rates and conditions.
