Enlightenment Lyrics
At your table groups, you will be reading through a variety of popular song lyrics.
For each song you need to do the following:
1. Individually underline specific lyrics that you think represent the ideas of the Enlightenment
a. Identify which philosopher matches different lyrics in the song and explain why you picked that philosopher
2. When all members have completed this, you should share with each other to see if there are any similarities or differences.
a. As a group, this should be written down on one piece of paper
3. As a group, you need to find a new song that you believe has lyrics that represent the ideas of one of the enlightened
philosophers.
a. You can use your phone or the iPad/Laptops to do this

c. In 3-5 sentences explain why this song represents philosophies of the Enlightenment.
