Location:
Fort Henry hill, 1 Fort Henry Drive, Kingston, Ontario, K7K 5G8
Directions:
Exit south off the 401 at Hwy 15. Hwy 15 ends at Hwy 2. Take a right, go
down the hill then take a left towards the RMC campus. Stay left and drive
up the hill to the parking lot at the Fort Henry historic site.
Course:
The terrain is cut grass trails on rolling hills with some steeper sections.
Spikes are recommended. You can get a feel for the course from this 2:19

Order and Time of Events:
11:00 am – midget girls (3 km)
1:15 pm – junior boys (6 km)
11:45 am – midget boys (5 km)
2:00 pm – senior girls (5 km)
12:30 pm – junior girls (4 km)
2:45 pm – senior boys (7 km)
Entries: You may enter an unlimited number of eligible runners, however, students can only
race in one event. All runners on a team must wear identical school tops when competing.
All runners must be wearing their assigned bib number.
Please complete the entry form provided using Microsoft excel. Email your completed form
to Shannon Niemi at niemis@limestone.on.ca AND wordleya@limestone.on.ca
Registration Deadline:
Saturday, October 24th, 2015 – 12:00 noon
The entry fee is $6.00 per runner to an overall team maximum of $200.00. Late entries
are $10.00.
Please note, you still pay for scratches. Your team fee will be based on how many names you
send in the excel registration document. Late entries are an additional $10 per runner.
Cheques are payable to ‘Kingston Collegiate & Vocational Institute’. Cash is also fine.
OFSAA paperwork must be submitted at registration for all runners. For a copy of the

OFSAA photo policy form
Eligibility form or AELS
Para cross country forms if applicable
For any athletes who have qualified to participate at OFSAA you will be required to register
these athletes and pay the OFSAA entry fee prior to leaving Fort Henry. The fee is $16
per athlete, this includes the $3 participation fee. If paying by cheque, please make payable
to ‘Kingston Collegiate & Vocational Institute’

Tics:
There have been some minor reports of tics in the long grass.
Food:
There will be a canteen on site with a basic selection of snacks and drinks.
There is a Tim Hortons and a McDonalds (not recommended) within 800m of
the start line on the military base. You can see these restaurants as you
drive West on hwy 2.
Water:
There is no running water at the race site. Athletes are encouraged to bring
fluids to keep them hydrated throughout the day. RMC’s athletic complex is
500m away and obviously has running water.
Start Line:
Your school will be assigned a start box for each race. We will email
details of the start box once entries are confirmed. Schools only entering
individuals in some races may have to share a box.
Warming Up: Athletes are not to warm up on the course. There are several sports
fields at the bottom of the hill that athletes are to use to warm up.
