Ballet Central 2015 features a dazzling programme of ballet, neoclassical, contemporary and narrative dance. The
company’s young and dynamic dancers will showcase their talent with a diverse performance of newly commissioned

The Freedom Theatre of Jenin

THE SIEGE
The Freedom Theatre, the internationally acclaimed Palestinian company, brings its latest production on its first ever UK tour.
Bethlehem April 2002: a group of armed men seek sanctuary in one of the world’s holiest sites as the Israeli army closes in with
helicopters, tanks and snipers. With the fighters are some 200 priests, nuns and civilians. The siege lasts for 39 days, paralyzing
Bethlehem centre and keeping thousands under curfew. Inside the Church of Nativity the besieged are hungry and weakening, the
stench overpowering. While the world watches, the fighters decide whether to continue the struggle or to surrender. Either way,
they will have to leave their families and homeland behind forever.
The directors traced the exiled fighters to bring their story to the stage. “This is real political theatre, performed out of the both
terrible and inspiring experience of a struggle for freedom and justice. They are living proof that telling stories and entertaining
audiences are powerful acts of resistance to oppression.”
The company will be offering a masterclass on Saturday 30 May at Frome Community College from 11–1pm. This is a unique
chance to work with this world-renowned theatre company from the Jenin Refugee Camp in Palestine whose mission is to explore
the potential of arts as an important catalyst for social change.

Join us for a day (or more!) of fun and adventure in our wonderful woodland playground.
Our holiday activities follow the Forest School ethos of facilitating child-led learning and discovery in the outdoors,
building on the innate curiosity and sense of wonder that the natural environment brings out in children of all ages.
Which activities we get stuck into will be largely determined by the group, the weather and other factors on the day,
however, we usually get up to the following sorts of adventures:

Free play
Based at one of our established camps, complete with large group shelters and fire pits, these days offer an exciting
opportunity to play, learn and make new friends, whatever the weather!
Timings & Dates for 2015
Each day starts at 10am and ends at 4pm. For children that need to be dropped earlier or collected later, we have
supervised free play in the camp from 8.30-10am and 4pm-5.30pm. There is an additional charge of £6 per session
(or part of) for this service, which can be added to your booking using our online booking system.

We’re pleased to offer 5 and 10 day passes, which are valid for 12 months. The 5 day pass saves you 10%, and the
10 day pass saves you 20% on the normal price (making it £29.25 and £26 per day respectively!). The passes can be
redeemed against any of our school holiday activity days, either individually or in a block. We’re also happy for passes
to be shared by siblings!. Once purchased you’ll be able to start booking your preferred dates using your pass.
Please note that when sharing a pass between siblings, each must be booked on separately – the booking system will
try to charge you if you select more than one child at a time!
