OUR HOLY FATHERS INTENTIONS FOR SEPTEMBER That the mentally disabled may receive the love and help they need for a dignified life. For Evangelisation: That Christians, inspired by the Word of God, may serve the poor and suffering. I will be including these intentions in the Sacred Heart Prayers at the Friday morning Mass, as it is the First Friday. This is a good time, September, to renew our devotion to the Sacred Heart. Universal: THE NINE FRIDAY PROMISES OF OUR LORD TO ST. MARGARET MARY 1. I will give them all of the graces necessary for their state of life. 2. I will establish peace in their houses. 3. I will comfort them in all their afflictions. 4. I will be their strength during life and above all during death. 5. I will bestow a large blessing upon all their undertakings. 6. Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy. 7. Tepid souls shall grow fervent. 8. Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection. 9. I will bless every place where a picture of my heart shall be set up and honoured. 10. I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts. 11. Those who shall promote this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be blotted out. 12. I promise you in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant all to those who communicate on the First Friday in nine consecutive months the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving their sacraments; My Divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment. REST IN PEACE Our prayers are asked for all who died recently especially Michael Mc Quade and for the following whose anniversaries occur at this time; Tommy Hale, Felix Kelly, Paul Murray, Eileen Turley and Gerry Walsh. “O you whom I have loved so much on earth, pray for me and live in such a manner that we may be reunited forever in blessed eternity” St Francis of Assisi 1182 – 1226 THE SICK AND HOUSEBOUND During the week I hope to bring Holy Communion to the sick and housebound of our parish; Monday afternoon Tuesday afternoon Wednesday morning Thursday afternoon Friday afternoon. Parents are asked to use the Bryson St gate or the Seaforde St gate to gain pedestrian access to the school. We must protect the children from speeding drivers and careless parking.
