Halloween
Dear PM Kindergarten Parents,
Our Halloween party and parade will be on Friday, October 30, 2015. Here is some helpful information.






Your child should arrive to school in his/her Halloween costume. Remember, NO WEAPONS.
Please arrive at 1:10 p.m. sharp.
If make-up is required as part of the Halloween costume, please apply at home before school.
We ask that each child bring a labeled bag so that the costume may go home in the bag. Children
are not permitted to wear costumes on the bus, so please make sure they have other clothes to
wear home.
Please put your child’s name on the costume. Also, please complete the attached form and staple it
to your child’s bag so we can make sure everything gets back in the bag. With it being a Friday, we
don’t want our friends to be sad if a costume or accessory is left here.
No need to send a snack or a drink as we will have it at the party. Thanks to all families who are
sending food/drink for this party! Donations of food and supplies will be accepted from 8:30am10am on Friday, October 30 on the carts in the main lobby. Please label all donations with teacher
name and PM-K. Home and School will deliver all items to the classroom. If the child is able to
carry them in or you would like to drop them off at PM arrival, that is fine, too.

Schedule/Parade Reminders
1:00pm – Arrival of parents who are scheduled to volunteer in our classroom. Volunteers, please park in
the visitor parking lot (not the upper bus parking lot). Parent volunteers sign in to receive a visitor’s
badge and then proceed to our classroom.
1:10pm – PM Kindergarten students arrive in costume. Attendance, group picture, prepare for parade.
1:20pm – PM K Mini Parade
**Parents who are coming to view our parade can wait outside. You do not need to sign in nor get a
visitor’s badge.
 Weather permitting, we will parade from the kindergarten playground, on the sidewalk, to the
front doors. If you wish to see this parade, please assemble on the grass outside of the
kindergarten windows. ***NOTE - We will make a brief stop outside for individual pictures while
the kids are in line. We will also pose for a group shot. Then, we will head indoors for a mini
parade around the building.
 In the event of inclement weather, THERE WILL BE NO INDOOR PARADE for PM K, only
classroom parties.
 OVER
At the conclusion of the parade, we will return to the classroom for our snack and activities planned by
our homeroom Mom with assistance from our parent volunteers. We will get out of costumes first (to keep
them in good shape for Halloween). Parent volunteers who signed up for party will assist children getting
out of costume, if needed.
3:00pm – Party ends. If you are helping out at Groveland for an older child’s party and want to take your
child home at 3:00pm, you may sign him/her out in our classroom.
You are invited to the school parade at 10:00am!!
Your PM Kindergartener is invited to walk in the school parade with Mrs. Rodgers’ AM Kindergarten
class. If you would like your child to participate, bring him/her to Mrs. Rodgers’ classroom between 9:509:55am. The parade will be outside on the lower field behind the school.
At the conclusion of the parade, please pick up your child before we re-enter the building via the wiggle
playground near the 3rd grade classrooms. If you do come to the parade in the morning, you are strongly
encouraged to car pool as parking will be limited. In the event of inclement weather, THERE WILL BE
NO SCHOOL WIDE PARADE, only classroom parties.
