TSI Strand Homework 2: TSIA Data Review Instructions I Provide data from first day of class fall 2013 through April 30, 2014, for TSIA by subject area. Your college’s TSIA Administrator can download these data from the ACCUPLACER Platform (TSIA and all related reports are housed in College Board’s ACCUPLACER Platform – see www.accuplacer.org). For all data elements, be sure to unduplicate by student so that only one record per student is retained; choose the record that best fits the data element being retrieved and include the score used for initial placement per student per area. The person that completes this document (finds and reports data) should record any notes (caveats, etc.) to inform the team member of irregularities in the data. Specific data questions should be directed to the College Board contact Chantel Reynolds at (512) 636-1436 or creynolds@collegeboard.org. Save completed DE Course Inventory Data as ‘CollegeName_TSIAData’ and return to tsc@tacc.org by Friday, September 5, 2014. Students enrolling in fall could have tested on the new TSIA anytime since the new test was implemented. Contact your reporting official and ask for their help. Your reporting official is the person on your campus who submits CBM data to the Coordinating Board. For all data elements, be sure to unduplicate by student so that only one record per student is retained; choose the record that best fits the data element being retrieved. Use the student’s highest level designation (as determined by the score used for initial placement) to classify the student in the DE range or college-ready range below (first two tables). The fall 2014 FTIC table (third table) should show how many FTIC students were enrolled with an available TSIA test result for math, reading, and writing. All other students (e.g. those with academic or other exemptions) should be included in the unknown.* For all tables, enrollment refers to institutional enrollment counts by TSIA status. Subject refers to the TSIA area – not to course enrollments.** The person that completes this document (finds and reports data) should record any notes (caveats, etc.) to inform the team member of irregularities in the data. Your reporting official can direct specific data questions to Julie Eklund, Julie.Eklund@thecb.state.tx.us, or Ginger Gossman, Ginger.Gossman@thecb.state.tx.us.
