Surface Preparation: Refer to Masterspec Section 6700W Wattyl Taubmans Painting General for product clauses
Valspar Paint (NZ) Ltd provides recommended generic coating systems for various applications. Some substrate manufacturers
have their own recommended coating system. In these cases the substrate manufacturer's recommendations take precedence
over the Wattyl Taubmans Granosite coating system and products must be selected to satisfy the substrate manufacturer's
recommendations.
Cut and paste the coating system that meets to your requirements and paste into your Masterspec document

(a) The user should check the date of printing, and if more than 24 months have elapsed, should verify with our nearest sales office that the information is still current. (b) you review the Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and Material Safety
Data Sheets (MSDS) before you use or handle the product; (c) the product be used only in accordance with the information provided by Valspar; (d) the product be transported, stored and handled in accordance with the information on
the MSDS and relevant TDS; and (e) you thoroughly test the product, using the recommended application method on a sample of intended substrate, before using the product.

Caution
Refer to Valspar Paints (NZ) Ltd, should full specifications be required, as this format is for use only in CIL
Masterspec formatted documents/specifications.
As for all coatings, provide adequate ventilation during use.
Application should not be carried out if the air or substrate temperature is below 10°C or above 35°C, or the
humidity is greater than 80%. The temperature must not fall below 10°C during the drying process.
Note
1 or 2 coats of primer are recommended depending on anticipated atmospheric conditions. Contact Valspar
Paint (NZ) Ltd Technical Services for advice where extended corrosion protection is required. Refer to
AS/NZS 2312 and 6745W WATTYL PROTECTIVE COATINGS - STEELWORK for more detail regarding the
protection of these substrates from atmospheric corrosion.
