2. Terms of reference







Monitor use of library assessment tools and advise on developments
Advise CAUL on the use of principles, standards and benchmarks to improve performance
Monitor the environment (higher education quality initiatives e.g. TEQSA developments,
the development of national and international performance measures) and report
emerging issues and trends and progress against annual work plans and CAUL Strategic
Directions to the CAUL Executive and CAUL members.
Monitor developments in the measurement and communication of the value and impact of
university libraries and advise on their relevance in the Australian and NZ environments
Represent CAUL on relevant external bodies and coordinate responses to relevant
enquiries.
Collaborate with other CAUL Advisory Committees on matters of shared interest.
Contribute relevant content to the CAUL web site.
