Dear Parents and Carers,
Christmas Play
Primary pupils have been working hard on
their Christmas play “No Frills” and we are
looking forward to performing to parents on
Wednesday 2nd December at 6:30pm.
Thank you for your support with practising
lines and preparing costumes. Children will
be sent home on Wednesday with their
costume and we ask that they return to
school wearing it if possible at 6:10pm. A
small number may need to change here.
The Highlight of the day was of course the
sponge the Teacher event! A very special
Thank you to all who made this day possible
and a great thank you for sponsoring the
pupils!
Pupils have been spoken to about costumes.
If your child is not sure, it is likely that they
have been asked to wear normal play
clothes.
In order to be sure of numbers for our
audience, please could you complete and
return the tear off slip on this letter indicating
how many seats you and your family would
like for the performance. Please also indicate
if your child needs transport from Georgetown
leaving at 5.50pm. There is no charge for
tickets, but there will be mince pies after the
performance and a chance to make a
donation to school fund.
Fund Raising Friday
Two Boats School raised £249.48 last Friday,
this means £124.74 will be sent to Children in
Need and to our students’ Fund!!
The event took place in the afternoon;
students had 2 periods of Fun!
For this very special occasion students could
wear yellow, spots and dress up as a hero!!
During period 5 and 6, students could get
their face and nails painted and take part in
various games or they could buy some lovely
cakes and biscuits and do some colouring
activities.
Learning together, Success forever

Glenda had to organise Events throughout
the year, involve the community in the
celebrations and create a programme for the
Bicentenary Weekend in October 2015.
. She has one last project as the Bicentenary
Coordinator: a TIME CAPSULE to be opened
in 2115. Glenda has asked the children to
encourage their parents to write a letter to
their great-great-grandchildren. It will be quite
a surprise for them!

Children have been given sponsor forms
today and we thank you in advance for your

Bicentenary and Time Capsules
Glenda Schutgens-Jonis visited Two Boats
School on Friday 20 November 2015. Glenda
told us about her job as the Bicentenary

According
to
her,
the
Bicentenary of British Settlement on
Ascension Island in 2015 was an opportunity
to come together and to celebrate as a
Community.
