This intensive two-day workshop will provide primary care providers (PCPs) with a
greater understanding of how to implement behavioral and mental health care into
pediatric primary care practices. The focus of the workshop will be on the assessment
and management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), depression,
anxiety and autism assessment and management for PCPs who work with children and
adolescents in primary care settings. How to implement a program in your practice will
be presented including billing and coding, instruments and tools to use as well as how
to schedule visits to maximize practice.
This free workshop will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012, and Saturday, March 3, 2012,
from 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Since this is a comprehensive program, we ask that
participants commit to attend both days of the workshop. We strongly encourage
participants to attend with a colleague from your practice who will be working with you to
implement a mental health program in your practice.
There is no cost to participants, as this program is supported by a grant from the Jewish
Healthcare Foundation. The workshop is also sponsored by the Pennsylvania Chapter
of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Medical Home Initiative Program and Three
Rivers Chapter of NAPNAP. We have received approval for CME credits for physicians,
Continuing Education and Pharmacology Credits for Nurse Practitioners and nurses,
and continuing education credits for social workers.
If you agree to participate in this intensive two day workshop, we will ask you to
complete questionnaires regarding your experience and level of understanding before
and after the program as well as after a 1 month period.
