Integration of Pediatric Mental Health Care: An Evidence Based Workshop for Primary Care Providers March 2 & 3, 2012 8:00AM-5:00PM daily For Pediatricians, Family Practice Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Social Workers and Nurses Free to all participants! Materials included Location TBA but will be in the Wilkes Barre, PA area This intensive two-day workshop will provide primary care providers (PCPs) with a greater understanding of how to implement behavioral and mental health care into pediatric primary care practices. The focus of the workshop will be on the assessment and management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety and autism assessment and management for PCPs who work with children and adolescents in primary care settings. How to implement a program in your practice will be presented including billing and coding, instruments and tools to use as well as how to schedule visits to maximize practice. This free workshop will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012, and Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Since this is a comprehensive program, we ask that participants commit to attend both days of the workshop. We strongly encourage participants to attend with a colleague from your practice who will be working with you to implement a mental health program in your practice. There is no cost to participants, as this program is supported by a grant from the Jewish Healthcare Foundation. The workshop is also sponsored by the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Medical Home Initiative Program and Three Rivers Chapter of NAPNAP. We have received approval for CME credits for physicians, Continuing Education and Pharmacology Credits for Nurse Practitioners and nurses, and continuing education credits for social workers.
