Historical Note
Beneficence: A History of Ball State Teachers College (1895-1961) was written by Professor Charles
Fowler Van Cleve in 1961. An unpublished manuscript, the composition was indexed by William J. Nye
of the Ball State University LIbraries Library Reference Service in March of 1969.

This collection includes the unpublished manuscript entitled, Beneficience: A History of Ball State
Teachers College (1895-1961) and related correspondence ranging from 1961-1969.
