Exhibitors who are not ALSA members must also pay a $30.00 (youth)/$60.00 (adult) non-member fee to show their llamas in ALSA classes. Participants must send a copy of their ALSA card with their entry or present it at check-in. CAL-ILA members may deduct $2.00 per class from the total show cost. Youth Entry Fee: $7.50 per class. ALSA fee: There is a $5.00 per animal ALSA fee. except fiber only entries then $3.00. Entry Deadline: Entries must be postmarked no later than May 6, 2015, to be in the Show Program. California State Exhibitors: Health Certificates are encouraged but not required for this show. Animals will be excluded from the show if obvious health issues are identified. Stall Fee: Horse stalls,Self penning, with your panels, available in covered designated areas Location will be assigned. Please be accurate so you do not need to encroach upon your neighbors. The Fair allows stakeouts or panels in open areas. Clean up after yourself into designated containers. ILR, ARI or CLRC Registration: Exhibitors must be the registered owners and make entry in the exact names (owner and llama/alpaca) as shown on the registration certificate or have a “Permission to Show” form from the registered owners. All llamas entered in approved classes, with the exception of youth classes, must be registered (no pending registrations allowed) or have passed screening with the International Lama Registry (ILR) or the Canadian Livestock Record Corporation (CLRC). If non-breeder llamas are not registered and wish to be in the ALSA award system and wish to show in halter, they must show in the adult non-breeder halter class. Non-breeder llamas must be accompanied by a registration or veterinarian certificate verifying the animal is a gelding, a vasectomized male, or a spayed or non-reproduction female. All alpacas entered in approved classes, with the exception of youth classes, must be registered by the Alpaca Registry INC. (ARI) or the Canadian Livestock Record Corporation (CLRC). Copies of the registration certificates must be sent to the show with the entry form. Awards: Ribbons awarded to 1st through 5th places. There will be Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion ribbons for: Halter, Novice and Advanced Performance, Carting Performance, Youth (Junior, Intermediate and Senior) Performance Classes. SHOW SPONSORSHIP Support the show and publicize your farm at the same time. There are three levels of sponsorship. Sponsors will be included in the show program and announced during the show. We encourage you to present the awards in your sponsored division. You do not have to attend the show in order to be a sponsor. Please refer to the show sponsorship section on the registration form. Bring your own tables and chairs Accommodations: RV Camping: $25 a night with water and electricity. The Alpaca and Llama Show Association, Inc. (ALSA) approved this show. All rules and guidelines will be in accordance with the 19th Edition ALSA Handbook. Show Rules Exhibitors must be the registered owners and make entry in the exact names (owner and animal) as shown on the registration certificate. Exception: Exhibitors may use the “Permission to Show” form provided by ALSA which grants permission from the owner on the Registration Certificate to a person who is purchasing an animal to show that animal under their own name. Exhibitors may or may not be handlers. Important Points to Remember 1. All llamas should be presented for halter classes with a halter, lead rope and no additional decoration. 2. Nursing llamas cannot be accompanied into the ring with their crias. We recommend not showing nursing mothers. 3. A judge may dismiss animals exhibiting unruly or unsafe behavior from the ring. Dismissal can take place even before the animal gets in the ring if show personnel bring the matter to the judge’s attention. 4. No ranch names or llama names may be displayed on the exhibitor or animal during the class 5. Animals should be ringside ten minutes before the start of their class. Due to time constraints, classes cannot be held up for late exhibitors. 6. Llamas may not be moved from one halter class to another after judging has begun, except at the judge’s discretion. 7. Show management may dismiss an exhibitor and their animal from participation at the show if the exhibitor mistreats their animal. 8. Open-toed or open-back shoes, sandals and bare feet will disqualify an exhibitor.
