Dear participant
Developing Musculoskeletal Services in Tameside and Glossop
The commissioners across Tameside and Glossop Health and Care Community have come together to
address the health and social care challenges faced by local people. They have created a programme of
work to redesign and realign health and care services to provide joined up care to Tameside and Glossop
citizens.
You are invited to attend the MSK pathway mapping events on 6th and 16th June. These events are part of a
project to support NHS T&G CCG and their partner organisations in reviewing the MSK services
commissioned in Tameside and Glossop and developing an outline business case for our future services.
The first event will assist us in describing the “As Is” MSK pathways. This is to be held on Friday 6th June
2014 in the The Newton Suite, Hyde Town Hall, Hyde from 13.15 pm until 16.45 pm. The objectives of this
workshop on 6th June are:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
To agree the scope of the MSK services review
To review the work that has already been undertaken
To achieve a shared understanding of the current pathway for patients with MSK conditions
To identify and prioritise the key issues to be addressed within the review scope
To identify issues which overlap with other Care Together work streams
To agree the next steps for the review
A programme for the event on the 6th June 2014 is attached.
There will be a second event on Monday 16th June 2014 from 13.00 pm until 16.45 pm to map out a new
pathway for MSK services. This will be held at The Newton Suite, Hyde Town Hall, Hyde
Please let Carole Piddington (c.piddington@nhs.net Tel: 0161 304 5417) know if you are able to attend. If
think anyone else needs to be involved or you cannot attend please forward this invitation to appropriate
colleagues. It would also be help for if you email their details to c.piddington@nhs.net so that we can
update our participant list.
Many thanks for your help we look forward to seeing you at the workshops.
