OBSERVATION Despite the heavy down-pour, the programme was still well co-ordinated and turn-out was impressive. Though it mostly had students, the pre-paid advertorials would have better informed other members of the public. (The department takes responsibility for this). RECOMMENDATION Preparations and approval should be timely and invite and sensitization done on time to create awareness while a dummy test – run should be carried out at all sites ahead of the D-day. However, the 2012 Open-Day could still be said to be successful despite the challenges as total number of 610 people attended the 2012 waste management open day excluding members of staff. See attached pictorial evidences of each site, while attendance register is available on demand.
