Math:
3rd grade: two-step word problems and multiplying by multiples of 10
4th grade: Solving three-digit division problems
5th grade: Addition and subtraction of fractions
Reading/Writing
All grades are working on answering questions using the RACE strategy. (Restate the
question, answer the question, cite evidence, and explain)
3rd-Using the editing process to self-check for errors in spelling, punctuation, and use
of capital letters, Summarizing
Here are some of the things that peers

4th-persuasive writing (Hero or Villain European Explorer project)
5th- informational writing about “Life on the Trail”
Social Studies News
3rd grade students will take a Government test this week.
4th grade students are learning about 6 European Explorers. They
should be studying their study guide a little each night.
5th grade students will take a test on Cattle Trails this week and begin
learning about inventors of the 20th century.
Math News
Third grade students should complete Zearn Module 3, lesson 21 by
Friday, and fourth graders should complete lessons through Module 3,
lesson 32.
Science News
Fourth grade still needs the following supplies for a simple machines
project: Jars with lids, paper towel rolls, thread spools, small boxes,
rubber bands, pipe cleaners, gears, pulleys, screws, wedge
Please send in any of the above to help with the project.
ALL grades have an “opportunity to exceed” project due 11/13.






