French 1 Week of 5/12/14-5/16/14 5/12/14 Essential Question: Why is it important to learn how to conjugate verbs that end in –ir and –re in French? Activity: Students will complete a packet using –re,-ir and –er verbs ending. Packet will be collected at the end of the class by the substitute to be graded for class participation. Standards: 1.1, 4.1, & 2.2 5/13/14 Essential Question: Why is it important to learn how to conjugate verbs that end in –ir and –re in French? Activity: Review vocabulary on shopping, As a class we will go over the material students started on Monday 5/12/2014, -IR verb reading comprehension assignment: students will be asked to complete a set of comprehension questions that go along with a reading using –ir verbs, Prior to leave students will be given asked to write a sentences using –re verb. Activity: Review vocabulary on shopping, -ir/ -re/-er verb practice, Students will receive an envelope with a set of 12 pictures inside, they must place the pictures in order and create a sentence for each photo. *I will be circulating the room to assist and asses student’s work. Prior to leaving the class students will conjugate the given verb in the correct form. Activity: Review vocabulary on shopping, Quiz: -re verb conjugation, Verb conjugation game (game includes all regular –er, -ir, and –re verbs in French) In groups of 2 students will practice conjugating verbs in the form of a competition against peers. *I will be circulating the room to assist and asses student’s work Standards: 1.1, 1.2 & 4.1
